![]() Richmond CampusRichmond is the home location for Union Theological Seminary & Presbyterian School of Christian Education. Students in Richmond enjoy a 56-acre historic campus, with classroom buildings, a mix of student housing options, a dining hall, bookstore, landscaped grounds, and one of the finest theological libraries in the United States. The campus is on the national historic registry. There are more than 300 students and 30 faculty members on the Richmond campus. Worship is held several times a week when classes are in session. Students organize and lead worship, with additional participation and leadership from faculty, alumni/ae, and staff. In addition, the community participates in meals, formal and informal fellowship gatherings, lectures and discussions, community service opportunities, social events, and athletic programs. Students are encouraged to become involved in the life of local congregations. Union-PSCE is a participant in the Richmond Theological Consortium, along with Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, and the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University. Students enrolled in any consortium school may cross-register for classes and take part in jointly-sponsored academic, service, and athletic events. Union-PSCE's participation in the Washington Theological Consortium provides students with additional learning opportunities at ten theological institutions in Virginia and the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan area. |
